Non-Refundable Processing Fee

FileDesignPatent.com collects a $50 non-refundable processing fee to begin work on your U.S. design patent application. This fee covers initial administrative processing, review of submitted materials, and preparation activities performed immediately after payment.

Because work begins promptly upon receipt, the $50 processing fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • A decision not to proceed with filing

  • Failure to submit requested information or materials

  • A change of mind

  • Ineligibility for patent protection

  • Abandonment of the application process

 

Service Fees and USPTO Filing Fees

Service fees and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) filing fees are not required until your application is complete and ready to be filed.

  • If you proceed with filing, the $50 processing fee will be credited toward your service fee.

  • If you decide not to proceed with filing, no additional fees are due, and you may walk away with no further obligation.

Once service fees or USPTO filing fees have been paid and the application has been filed or submitted for filing, those fees are non-refundable, as services will have been rendered and government fees paid.

 

No Returns Policy

Due to the nature of intellectual property services and digital legal work, returns are not applicable, and no physical goods are exchanged.

 

Cancellations

You may cancel your request for services at any time before filing. Cancellation does not affect the non-refundability of the $50 processing fee, but it will prevent any additional charges from being incurred.
